Strike on the Baltimore-Ohio Railroad

Date: 1877

This is a part of the Great Railroad Strike in 1877. The military killed twenty people in an attempt to force them to go back to work, but as a result of these deaths, workers burned down railroads.  The strikes affected the economy since most industries were reliant on railroads to transport goods.
